-- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

I always fantasized about the idea of modeling when I was younger because I loved watching Miss Universe or Nuestra Belleza Latina. Shows that mixed beauty with challenges and talent. I always loved the idea of modeling, but never thought of it to be an actual career path because for a long time I didn’t see girls like me modeling and also I was always on a more academic track growing up. This meant that I didn’t even know of modeling to be a career path that would be an option to supporting myself financially. I started modeling when I worked as a shoot production assistant at an activewear brand and met so many curve models that encouraged me to try a modeling route.

-- Most recent impulse buy, and why?

This is a hard question because I shop a lot. I definitely just spent money buying things from Free People that I for sure didn’t need in my closet, but my heart always says yes to that store.

-- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

I love writing. I love telling stories and also uncovering things about myself when I start typing about things going on in my life. I am really inspired by just people and their stories, specially my family. Everything I do is to be a reflection of the people that brought me to this earth, so when I am thinking of things that inspire me to tell stories and write, I just think of my family and how much love I have for them.
