- Did you always want to be a model? Tell us about how you were discovered.

Growing up in Los Angeles, there is a surplus of beautiful people with dreams of becoming a model. While I shared the same desire (and watched a lot of America’s Next Top Model), I never thought I had the right “look”and spent more time behind the camera. It wasn’t until my early 20s, after moving to the Bay Area for graduate school, that I took the leap to start modeling. I got signed with my mother agency, Halvorson Model Management (HMM) and began to develop my skills as a model, setting up test shoots and practicing my runway walk. Fast forward 3 years, and I am still signed with HMM and recently signed with 3 Model Management. Along the way, I’ve faced countless rejections and missed out on jobs I really wanted. Yet, I’ve also grown so much, met amazing people, and made incredible connections. And I never would have had those experiences if I didn’t pick myself up after every time that I fell. Becoming a model has taught me the importance of resilience and self-love, regardless of others’ opinions, and overcoming obstacles has made every achievement feel even more rewarding.

- What was your most recent impulsive buy?

I am normally a drug store makeup girly, especially for lip products that need frequent touch-ups. However, I recently splurged on a pricier lip liner after testing it’s “smudge-proof” claims in the store. I was more than impressed and immediately put it in my cart!

- What other passions do you have aside from modeling?

I’m currently pursuing my PhD in clinical psychology, and have a couple more years until I can call myself doctor! Spending my free time modeling or walking the runway serve as a surprisingly effective way to de-stress after a week of tackling serious topics. I also enjoy crocheting, working out, and spending time with my dog, ChaCha.
